Interns at Algorithmic Sciences work on real research and engineering problems. The work assumes a grounding in markets and statistics and, for most roles, in programming.
We point candidates to the Institute of Algorithmic Trading and Applied Computational Finance, IATACF, to build that grounding. Its routes match the three kinds of work we do: trading, building trading systems, and research. Our founder was one of its founding faculty.
Where to prepare
- The trader path
For discretionary and systematic traders. No programming.
Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced Certificates in Trading, leading to the Diploma in Professional Trading. The Diploma ends with a six-month simulated trading business, assessed by two faculty.
- The practitioner path
For people who build trading systems. Python from the first course.
The Foundation Certificate in Computational Finance, then specialist certificates in algorithmic trading, high-frequency trading, statistical arbitrage, systematic investing, portfolio management, risk and machine learning, leading to the Professional Diploma in Algorithmic Trading.
- The researcher path
For quantitative researchers.
Foundation mathematics, then certificates in derivatives pricing, quantitative risk management and machine learning for trading, leading to the Fellowship in Computational Finance, which is examined on a dissertation.
- Open courses
For anyone who wants to start before committing.
Free courses that open each path.
- Scholarships
For applicants with documented financial hardship.
Need-based scholarships for the two Diplomas and the Fellowship.
How to apply
